How's the Market in Sturbridge, MA?
We saw a lazy summer real estate market in Sturbridge this year. Throughout July, August, and September, only 13 single family homes sold, an average of six per month.
Lowest sale price: $75,500 for a 1340 sq. ft. bank-owned fixer-upperHighest sale price: $615,000 for a 3008 sq. ft. waterfront propertyAverage sale price: $245,769Sale price ratio: Average sale price for all 13 homes was 91% of original list price

2009 Real Estate Market Report for Sturbridge Massachusetts

March 8, 2010: 2009 was an interesting year in the real estate market for Sturbridge, MA. The number of homes sold remained flat; however, there was a decrease in the average sale price, as expected.

Single Family Homes Sold in Sturbridge in 2009
Single family home sales 2009: 80 homes sold with an average sale price of $246,988.Single family home sales 2008: 80 homes sold with an average sale price of $300,324.

Sturbridge Market Report: 3rd Quarter 2009
I am happy to provide you with this market snapshot for the town of Sturbridge, Massachusetts, for the third quarter of 2009.
For the third quarter of 2009, July 1 through September 30, home sales in Sturbridge remain at a slow but steady rate. Twenty single family homes sold during this time period; however, the number of homes on the market remains high. With 99 homes currently on the market, there is still over a year's worth of inventory available in Sturbridge.
