Happy Mardi Gras Day!

Today is one of my favorite holidays of the year:  Mardi Gras Day.

Not typically celebrated up here in New England, Mardi Gras is of course the quintessential carnival season of New Orleans and surrounding areas. Down south, they do it right:  Parades starting on Twelfth Night, weeks of feasting, intricate costuming, and an all-around good time celebration before the fasting season of Lent begins.

Myself, I'll indulge in some jambalaya, wear purple/green/gold, and do my best to spread a festive attitude throughout the day.  As they say: "Laissez les bon temps roulez."  Let the good times roll!
