Are You A Tire Kicker - 05/25/09 02:18 PM
I like and welcome tire kickers or folks who just want to stay informed
Nearly every one likes to check out all their options before making a commitment. Real Estate is no exception and the Internet has provided a place for those "tire kickers"  a place to go without giving out personal information.
On the other hand
A REALTOR® depends on new leads to justify the time and expense of keeping current, quality information available on their web sites. So, the question is at what point should a visitor on their site be expected to give a little of them selves … (4 comments)

The Truth About Buying A Property Under Power of Sale - 05/19/09 08:47 PM

Is it really a bargain?
Given all the safeguards built into the normal purchase and sale agreement buying a power of sale is not for the faint of heart. They are a true test for an old axiom "caveat emptor" let the "buyer beware". In these cases what you see is not always what you get if you get anything at all.

Why Does Grandma Wear Funky Glasses - 05/19/09 06:04 AM
Yes Grandma Wears Funky Glasses ... not to be cool or to be told they look like Elton John's but because Grandma has a very rare eye condition, called Benign Essential Blepharospasm (BEB), Hopefully this post will help raise awareness of this disorder which in turn will help in raising funds for research into the cause to help find a cure.
Currently the most common form of treatment is periodic injections of botulinum toxin.
This movement disorder of the eyelids affects an estimated 5 out of every 100000 people, mostly women, with the average age of onset being 56.

My Grandma Wears Funky Glasses - 05/18/09 08:09 AM
"My Grandma wears funky glasses and I helped pick them out." ..... Joseph
My three young grandsons were called to help their grandmother pick out her new glasses at the optometrist's office. There were all shapes and sizes. some were big and round, some were oval, some old fashioned and some very modern. I wanted something that would reflect on me, my personality, my perspective on life. They had to be different and yet distinguished, Something that would help portray an image of who I was.
Given the opportunity, my three grandsons had their own visions of what I should be … (10 comments)

Flutterbys - 05/06/09 10:03 PM
One of the joys of living in the country, surrounded by gardens, is the number of butterflies that flutter by the windows.
Unfortunately it is still a little early to enjoy all the butterflies that pay an annual visit to my gardens, so I thought I might get a head start by paying a visit to the Metro Toronto Zoo and the butterfly conservatory. Apparently many others must had the same thought, as the conservatory was packed. Peering between the heads or focusing between the jostles made getting good pictures very difficult . Here are a few that I did manage … (11 comments)

Could You Do It? - 05/04/09 09:48 AM
I have three very precious grandchildren who are allergic to nuts especially peanuts. One is so allergic that if you eat a product that contains peanuts and breath near him he may have an allergic reaction so severe that he has to be hospitalized.
I have sat by his hospital bedside on several occasions as he lay there in anaphylactic shock, his breath so shallow that you could not tell if he was breathing, knowing that while he appeared to be peacefully sleeping in fact he was fighting for his life.
I have kept my home nut free since his diagnosis … (8 comments)
