Uxbridge has been granted the title "Trail Capital of Canada"by the Federal Government. To celebrate Uxbridge is holding the Festival of the Trails in Elgin park with a free Community Picnic with hot dogs,ice cream, and drinks on Saturday October 3rd, 10:30 am to 1:30pm. free admission and parking
Come and join the fun with with a geocaching demonstration and a draw for a handheld GPS. There will be demonstrations and information booths by equestrians, running groups, Nordic walking and Tai Chi groups.

Elgin Park - Uxbridge - A Stay-cation Destination
Uxbridge is blessed with many natural areas that have been preserved and enhanced for public use with trails and facilities. One such area is the 140 acre Countryside Preserve that sits on the Oak Ridges Moraine, another is Elgin Park.

Elgin Park is home to Numerous events starting early in the season with The Huck Finn Fishing Dayfor kids at Elgin Pond. Elgin park is also home to the Highlands Of Durham Games, RibFest,The Uxbridge Fair, and numerous other events including the upcoming ART in The Park.
