Dubbed "Mount Grossi" and Grossi's Folly", by his many critics and marred by construction delays Mayor Grossi has prevailed. His vision is now complete and the grand opening of the Recreational Outdoor Campus took place January 20th 2012. Now it is up to the public to determine if that vision will be a success.

Built on the southern shore of Lake Simcoe the congregation welcomes people of all faiths who visit the beautiful stone church and historic cemetery for services or to walk about the scenic grounds.

The church features windows designed and built by the daughters of John Graves Simcoe (the first Lieut. Governor of Upper Canada) and the graceful wood-carvings of the Rev. George Everest.

August 22nd to Aug 24th The 19th annual Eaglewood Folk Festival is ramping up to present some great Canadian talent in this years festival. While in the past the festival has had talent from across North America they are sticking to Canadian talent this year and have lined up some great performers. Eaglewood is totally Wheelchair accessible and even has Braille program Guides. The Seventh Annual Purple Turtle Art Festival
With it's ideal location, stretching along the south shore of Lake Simcoe, the various communities of Gerogina are host to many events that are a draw to this tourist orientated town. In the winter there is always snowmobiling, ice fishing and of course the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship. In the summer there's boating and angling along with The Blue Bridge Festival The Eaglewood Folk Festival, the Georgina Studio Tour and of course the Purple Turtle Art Festival

What's that you say nothing to do June 6th,7th or 8th. Then Take a short trip north of Toronto and partake of the outstanding performances of Music, Poetry and Song during the second annual Blue Bridge Festival.
The festival takes it's name from the Blue Bridge, a provincially designated Historic Site, that is located between Sutton and Jackson’s Point, built in 1912 it spans the Black River where it joins Lake Simcoe.
