Review of 2009 Home Staging By the Numbers Indicates....Staged Homes SELLING!
This time each year I like to review all the stagings which were completed over the past year.....# of homes staged, # of homes SOLD, homes Leased, and how long homes were staged prior to Sale & Pick Up.
While we have all read the glut of "bad" news regarding the real estate market....my news for 2009 is that the homes which I staged were selling and selling quickly.  This was particularly true during the last half of 2009.
Here are my results for 2009:

Telling a seller that their home has an "odor" is not easy....but better I tell them than Buyers walking away due to an offending odor!!
Many times you walk into a home and are "hit" with an odor that is not pleasant...it can give you an instant impression, that is NOT favorable, of the overall home.  This is a real issue when the home you are walking into is FOR SALE!

Local Consignment Store Offers MANY Options to Stagers & Sellers! - 12/05/09 12:48 PM
Working with a local consignment store can be a Win-Win for home stagers, sellers, agents and the local owner of the consignment store.
I have found working with local businesses to be a big PLUS when it's time to refer clients.   Case in point...."Design  Furniture Consignment" in San Ramon.
As a home stager, there are many times when I advise the seller or agent to edit out pieces of furniture.  The seller is often in a position of wanting or needing to dispose of these pieces....downsizing, relocating etc.  That's when I refer them to Barb Randall at "Design Furniture … (8 comments)
