I recently visited a Jungle Java the other day. It was amazing how many moms of toddlers and young children showed up. The day happened to be a rainy morning and to my suprise moms and children started filtering in after 10am. I would have expected earlier if they had dropped older children off at school, but I was wrong. Many seemed to have already been acquainted, while others, like myself were new.
Jungle Java offers free entry for adults and tiny children, while all others of in between years must pay. They offer membership prices of 3-6 month, regulars can stop in during that time as often as they wish, or a there is a price for the one time visitor.
They have a menu of different types of coffees, sandwiches, some desserts, and soups. They offer a small area for toddlers to play, though you cannot have shoes on in that area, socks are mandatory. This area is inside a secure area and has soft climbing blocks surrounding the children's play area that allows moms to sit and talk or just watch their toddlers.
The back end of the building is a wall to wall jungle gym that has all kinds of climbing, sliding and playing for the older brother or sister. This is an updated version of what McDonald's offers. The children looked like they were having a wonderful time. Occassionally I'd see a mom or two up in the structure trying to coax a child to play or showing how to get out of the maze.
Also like McDonald's they offer parties and other such necessities for parents of young children. Free coupon.
I would like to encourage any mother/dad who is sitting home alone and feeling lonely, to come out on a rainy day (or sunny day) and enjoy the experience of Jungle Java as well as make new friends. Lap tops are welcome. Wifi hot spot available, so bring your work and let the children come and have some fun.
Some of you entrepeneurs may want to know that Jungle Java is a franchise. There are only three of them in this area, but as a Realtor ®, I can help you get your own Jungle Java started in your neighborhood no matter where you live.
