On April 21, one can dine with the dogs for a wonderful fundraiser for the National Police Dog Foundation , Ventura County Sheriff's Office K-9 and K-9 search and rescue team.

Must be oil in the ground here in Ventura, lots of new oil pumps sprouting up and the old ones are being turned on. Hard to say how many exactly but my guess would be a few hundred just in the west end of Ventura.

Yes, the lovely Greyhounds come to the Ventura Pet Barn, not to race, no that life is far behind them, but they come the second Saturday  of every month to find loving homes. 
The good folks at The Homestretch Greyhound Rescue & Adoption Organization show up with all their lovely friends in tow.  
Greyhounds are not for every household and The Homestretch Greyhound Rescue & Adoption folks do a great job both in person and on their website explaining the particular issues and traits that this lovely breed has, they really want to make sure these lovely dogs get a forever home, but they do stand … (8 comments)

CABODOGZ is a Rescue Group dedicated to helping the LCHS (Los Cabos Humane Society) and ultimately the homeless dogs of Los Cabos find their forever home in the Greater Los Angeles and Ventura County area.
