Several weeks ago I took a trip home to Chicago to visit with family and friends.  It had been 4 years since I had been home and I realized then that too much time had past.  That short little get-a-way was enough to convince me that it was time for a real vacation.  In fact, a vacation is long overdue.

So upon my return to Atlanta, I put a vacation on the calendar.  So next month, I will be heading to Sarasota, FL for a week.  I lived in Sarasota many years ago and still miss the beautiful beaches on Siesta Key.  It is like no other place on earth.   I can and have, sat at the beach for an hour and completely forgotten that I was still in the continental US.  

This will be the perfect distraction this summer.  So in preparation, I have selected a co-worker to "watch over" my business while I am gone.  In fact, he will be returning the favor since he is out of town this week and I am covering for him.  Even though I will be on vacation, I always have my cell phone with me.  I will also have my laptop, and hot spot in case there is something that I need to deal with during this time.

I will prepare my clients for my absence.  My clients that are refinancing will all be closing before I leave and I am asking agents not to schedule closings if possible while I am gone.  So far, everyone has been cooperative.  Just another reason I love my team.

So, my airline reservations are made, I have downloaded several books on my Kindle for beach reading.  Now I am just checking the days off the calendar until I leave.
