It's raining like the dickens in Westlake Village, California! Great afternoon to enjoy the fireplace and slow cook my Mom's family recipe for "Kansas City Chicken-Chili". It's so easy and you probably have the ingredients on hand! If not, improvise!

Conejo Valley Spring Arts & Crafts Festival, March 5th & 6th - 03/04/11 11:23 AM
Come this weekend to the Conejo Valley Spring Arts & Crafts Festival.
This is always everybody's favorite event to kick off the Spring Fling!
More than 100 artists and craftspeople will be displaying and selling their original artwork and handmade craft items. There will be a special activity area for children for hands-on experiences!
Hours are from 10:00AM to 4:00 PM at Borchard Community Center, 190 Reino Rd., Newbury Park, CA 91320.
Admission is FREE!
The festival will be held Rain or Shine - but let's hope for Shine!

According to the Wall Street Journal (Feb 27, 2011) "Housing is the most affordable it has been in decades", analysts at Moody's report. Both in terms of prices and incomes.
In the lowest level in 35 years, the cost of owning a home is equivalent to 19 months of total pay for an average family. That statistic may not be totally on the mark for owning a home in Southern California, and many other markets, but the price tag of two - five years pay varies nationally.
