Updated data from the Board of Realtors from around the State of Michigan has now been reported and the final numbers state the average sales price was up 7.9 percent in 2010! Michigan continues to show improvement.
Despite the decline in the number of sales in some markets, several have shown an increase in selling price of 30 percent or more. St. Joseph County reported close to an 80 percent increase in average selling price for December, while Battle Creek, Branch County, Detroit, Macomb, and Midland were all above 30 percent for the month … (3 comments)

The non-profit Encore Musical Theatre Company brings musical theater to the historic Village of Dexter in Washtenaw County.
Opened in 2008, the 126 seat Encore Musical Theatre Company has been described as a "tiny slice of Broadway" by Encore Michigan. Beginning this year, Encore will be including an "Encore on the Edge" series to coincide with their classic line-up. With a variety of shows like Oklahoma, It's a Wonderful Life, and Rocky Horror Picture Show, Encore has something for everyone.

In the past year the trending sales price has sloped up from around $135 to just about $145 per square foot. This past month has shown the greatest increase in average sales price per square foot by leaping up to over $160. Is the real estate recession ending? Well the Ann Arbor Market is stabilizing as I wrote just recently, but I still like to keep my finger on the pulse of the overall market and what the National Association of Realtors has to say.
Why? Well, because what happens across the nation can effect us here in Ann Arbor.
For instance, right now the National Association of Realtors has praised FHA for their increased financial stability.
