What is happening with the absorption rates for the Chelsea Real Estate market? Homes in Chelsea have gone from about 12 months of supply in January to 14 months in June. If no other Chelsea residential homes were put on the market, it would take 14 months to sell these homes.

The City of Ann Arbor is preparing a new loan program for conservation improvements for homes and businesses.
The program would provide funds for energy efficiency and conservation improvements and projects.
Under the federal stimulus package, Ann Arbor was allocated $1.24 million under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program. Under the city's proposal, municipal installation of LED streetlights and other equipment would use $480,000 of the grant, and a loan program for residential and commercial real estate improvements would be allocated $763,400.

Sales figures show 233 residential units sold compared to 303 in 2008. The strong sales numbers for April have not yet translated into a consistent upward trend; however, the average residential sale price is up over last year by almost 9%. Low inventory, reports of multiple offers, and sale prices above list price are all good indicators that the market is moving in the right direction.
