Hold onto your hats, there is going to be yet ANOTHER auction held at the Four Seasons Hualalai resort on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii's Kohala "Gold Coast" July 1st 2010. With an original list price of $13M and a reserve of $5.9M, this seems like a deal too good to be true. But is it??

oceanfront property: 2009 Puako Beach sales recap - 12/29/09 12:44 PM
2009 year-end results for Puako Beach, show that neighborhood sales are looking positive! Out of the six properties sold in 2009, 4 were mauka side and 2 on the makai (oceanfront) side of the road. Compared to 2008’s two properties sold - 1 mauka, 1 makai, and 2007's 8 properties - 2 mauka and 6 makai, I would say it looks as if Puako beach has come through the economic crisis intact, and is on the upswing again.
It appears possible we’ve hit the “bottom” of pricing in Puako, at least on the mauka side of the street. The lowest-priced mauka … (0 comments)

"I want to sell my house in Kona in 30 days" a recent post on Trulia Voices said. My answer? Of course I did my typical due diligence - looked up the comps, crunched the numbers, gave my suggestions and opinions - but at the end of the day, this Seller and myself both understood, in this market, it's all about price.
