Tips on Conserving Gasoline - 09/30/08 09:57 AM
Buy or fill up your car or truck ONLY in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. All service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense is the gasoline fluid. When the gasoline in those tanks gets warmer the gasoline expands. Buying in the afternoon, or evening....that gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products included, plays a very important role. It's a big deal for this business if (3 comments)

Cookeville TN Rental Property: is renting for you? - 09/26/08 08:59 PM
Moving from state to state can be a challenging experience. There are some agents that expect to "sell" you a home and some won't even give advice when a customer asks about "Renting". As a native from Texas, I moved to Tennessee about 8 years ago. I called every place I could to find a rental, not because I wanted to rent, but because I knew nothing of the area and did not want to buy until I figured out where I wanted to live. As I only had a short time to get transitioned, I had no choice but to rent. Well, much to (0 comments)

Tennessee Localism: History's Imprints left in Stone.. - 09/02/08 09:52 AM
Have you ever been walking through the woods and stumbled upon an old cemetery? I have always found them facinating. Looking at the age old headstones dating back into the 1800's and beyond. It makes you wonder what life was like to them, the ones who paved the way for us now.
Tennessee is rich with history and enchantment in our natural surroundings. Our forests are filled with interesting literature describing a past long forgotten, but a place still remembered. From arrowheads found on the "Trail of Tears" to desolate family grave sites of the early pioneers. Yes, A walk through (1 comments)
