Buying a house for whatever reason should be a fun and exciting time. Open houses can be an enjoyable and rewarding event, so make your next Open House excursion an accomplished one. Try to visit three or four different homes in one day. Here are some special things to look for when going to see these houses. Take a notepad with you to each house and make a note of the address of the homes you visit. Jot down things you like and dislike about each house. This will help you keep track of which house is which. Note the nearby schools, the general neighborhood,

cookeville homes: Cookeville TN Rental Property: is renting for you? - 09/26/08 08:59 PM
Moving from state to state can be a challenging experience. There are some agents that expect to "sell" you a home and some won't even give advice when a customer asks about "Renting". As a native from Texas, I moved to Tennessee about 8 years ago. I called every place I could to find a rental, not because I wanted to rent, but because I knew nothing of the area and did not want to buy until I figured out where I wanted to live. As I only had a short time to get transitioned, I had no choice but to rent. Well, much to

cookeville homes: Cookeville Real Estate: Why Own a Home? - 08/17/08 03:57 PM
Home ownership is a major step in an individual or family's life. There are many things to consider before purchasing a home. Do you have a steady income/employment for the past 2 years? Do you have a credit history that is stablized and in good standing? Do you have money saved for down payment/closing costs and other expenses? Is your manageable debt enough to allow you to figure in the costs of owning a home? This would include yard maintenance, repairs, taxes, etc. Owning a home can have great advantages when you are ready to purchase. A place that will be your

cookeville homes: Cookeville Real Estate: Is Renting Right For You??? - 08/11/08 05:02 PM
Transitioning to a new area can be very stressful for one person, but especially for a family. I found myself in that same situation a few years ago when my husband, children and I transferred here from out of state. We made a couple of "house hunting" trips" which literally wore us out, and we were more confused each time we went back home, than before we arrived. I can empathize with this situation now, and use my knowledge in working with buyer clients to their advantage. Moving is a big step and one should be certain of what home they are sure

cookeville homes: Tips for Conserving Your Gasoline! - 07/20/08 02:02 PM
CONSERVING YOUR GASOLINE! I have actually started noticing folks driving down the interstate going 45mph with their flashers on! At first I didn't realize what this was about, and then my husband told me to start looking around, its everywhere! TIPS FOR CONSERVING GAS: pump your gas when its cooler and not in the middle of the hot day use a gas card that gives you savings like "shell" and pay it off when you get the bill. use gas that has NO ethanol, even if its a little higher priced, you will drive

Relocation can be a tedious thing to do, not to mention a very stressful one. I help my buyers re-locate here from every where. I will send you home listings via email for you to view and choose to see upon your arrival. Also, in preparing this worksheet for my buyers, I will gather needed information for an easy

cookeville homes: Tips on Green Home Building and Green living... - 02/21/08 04:16 PM
Building Green and Sustaining a Green lifestyle Green home building has been a hot topic in our area. Making you home more cost efficient and cleaning up our environment is an important must in today's society. Thinking Small is one way of conserving energy. Utilizing all possible space in a smaller square foot home can make you home feel big without being so. Using natural products in building your home such as stone, glass, lime or mud plasters, adobe or rammed earth, bricks, tiles, or untreated wood with oil finishes, cork, paper, reed, or bamboo is just a few natural building materials.
