This past weekend, a group of neighbors in the Ramsey Golf & Country Club hosted a burger cook-off. But it wasn’t merely just a couple of families showing off their burger recipes over a case of beer to win the bragging rights of being Ramsey Golf & Country Club’s grill master. No, this group of members took it upon themselves to make it a community event that benefited a worthy cause – the Max Cure Foundation for pediatric cancer causes – and raised more than $5000.

October is shaping up to be a busy month at the Ramsey Golf & Country Club:
October 9th - The annual Championship Day took place on an absolutely picture-perfect fall day and spectators were treated to an exiciting tournament to crown the club's best golfers. Afterwards, all club members were invited back to the patio for a BBQ and award ceremony.
October 21st - Paddle Social. Members who are interested in learning more about Paddle Tennis are invited for a wine and cheese party in the paddle hut.

Thinking about the loss of Steve Jobs, I found myself reflecting on how his leadership and vision impacted change in how we do business as real estate professionals.  Even if you are a Blackberry or Droid user, you can’t deny that many of the features of today’s MPG players, smartphones and tablets were the brainchild of Jobs and his talented staff. And even if he wasn’t directly responsible, Jobs certainly played a major role in raising the bar for the technology industry to deliver high quality, innovative and life-changing solutions for today’s busy world.
