Work your own plot and grow your own bounty side-by-side with other dirt lovers. Water, some seeds, a gift certificate for $10 to Windmill Gardens and a 6' X 12' rototilled plot-all for just $10 per plot or four plots for $30. With the weather we have been having lately this should be a good year at the Tapps Island Annual Garage Sale. Try and make it out one of the days as it is an event all in itself, you may stumble across that bundt cake mold you have been searching for all these years (MUCH, MUCH more to offer I promise)

Cost: $5.00 per car load collected at the gate.
From Hwy 410 East, turn left onto 214th and follow 4 1/2 miles to "Tapps Island" entrance, on left.
From Highway 167From Hwy 167, take the 8th Street Exit (Milton Exit), go east 5 1/2 miles (make sure to stay in the left lane after Top Foods shopping center) to the "Tapps Island" entrance, turn right and proceed.

The City of Bonney Lake, Pierce Stream Team ,Wal Mart, and the Lake Bonney Conservation Association are working together on a native planting at Ken Simmons Park on the west side of Lake Bonney. Volunteers are needed to help plant more then 200 trees and shrubs, spread mulch and do other planting task on Saturday March 1st from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Planting tools and light refreshments will be provided and volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather. If you are interested in helping, please RSVP with Stream Team by calling g253-845-2973 or emailing: streamteam@piercountycd.org. Directions and other project information will be provided upon registration.
