If you’d like to hold an event in the City of Sumner, there are a couple of things the City can do to help. 
First, you may want to see if your event fits the City Codes for events.  Check the Municipal Code and go to Chapter 12.52 for Special Events.

Today is important for the City of Sumner’s lodging tax.  Hotels in Sumner charge collect from guests a lodging tax that is to be used by the community to increase tourism by bringing new visitors from more than 50 miles away or generate overnight stays.  The overall goal is to continually increase the tourism industry that, in turn, supports lodging, shopping and dining.
