A QuickPass is a device for your car, truck, or motorcycle that allows your credit card to be charged when you use the Triangle’s first toll road which is scheduled to open in December 2011. There is a 1 month grace period and tolls will be charged starting January 2012.

The first section of toll road is between I-40 and NC 147, also known as the Durham Expressway, connecting to I-540 on the southwest side of Wake county. The toll road will include the existing portion of I-540 between Highway 54 and Highway 55. More sections of I-540 will be toll roads.
