Read & Feed visits neighborhood once a week for 3 months, providing children with dinner and a tutor to practice reading aloud. The children discuss all aspects of the story including characters, setting and main idea to strengthen their reading comprehension and enjoyment.  Donated books are given to the children to take home.  Upon completion of the program, each child has accumulated nearly 40 books to add to their home library.  This amazing program is free for the children who participate.  Read and Feed is a 501-C3 organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

This is a free clinic offered by the Cary Table Tennis Association for beginning players of all ages. Topics taught will be the forehand drive, backhand drive, forehand block, backhand block, underspin (backspin), topspin, footwork, strategies, and development of a plan to train and improve your performance. 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragic events in the United States. Remarkably, on this same date in 1956, the Sister Cities movement emerged from a White House Summit on Citizen Diplomacy. Featuring performances by local musicians, dancers and singers, the September 11th Concert is an opportunity to spread a message of hope through music, movement and the spoken word as we pay tribute to both of these events.
