The Livermore Rodeo has a long tradition in our community. It’s origin dates back to World War I, when cities were assessed a fundraising amount for the war effort by the Red Cross, President John McClinchy of theStockmen's Protective Association responded with the suggestion of a town rodeo and a tradition was born. This year marks the 94th anniversary of this local event, attended by residents and visitors alike. It’s a weeklong celebration of our western heritage, but one of the signature events is the Wednesday Night Mixer and Cattle Penning. So join the fun. May 15, 20123:00-4:15 expected race finish Our fair city hosted the start point for last year’s Amgen Tour. This year, once again Amgen and Livermore connect. Only this time, it’s for the final stop of Stage 3 of the tour. For updates on street closures, check here. That means, that after the race is over, the bicyclists will be hanging around for a while – all the better for a photo or autograph opportunity. Large enough to hold a crowd, but small enough to envelop you with the aromas of hot and tasty soups, and delectable wines. Guest chefs and staffs, and have paired the soups and wines winningly.
