galvez: Neighbors in Galvez need help rescuing a dog! - 02/16/11 12:00 PM
**UPDATE** The dog has been rescued! This story aired on the news last night. I am saddened by what seems to be the lack of support from authorities in our Parish. Seems that there is a dog stuck in the drainage system in Norwood Lakes. He was there last week while we had those days of below freezing temperatures. The neighbors have been feeding him and have asked for assistance in rescuing him. They were given a pole with a loop at the end... Doesn't make much sense to me. If any of you know anyone that can help, please, please go

The home was vacant when we started the negotiations. We closed within 30 days and everything we well. At the closing the previous owners handed over the keys to our new home. They asked if we were going to move in right away. We told them that we were leaving the next morning for two weeks to visit my husband's family up

galvez: Santa Visits Local Galvez/Prairieville Neighborhoods - 12/10/09 10:55 AM
It just doesn't seem like Christmas until Santa Clause makes his annual visit thanks to the local fire departments. I get so excited when I hear the Christmas music and the Sirens of the fire trucks getting closer. Santa makes his way around the Prairieville neighborhoods to visit the children. He takes pictures with the kids (and adults!), passes out candy canes, listens to their wish lists and most importantly, collects non-perishable food items for area food banks. Click here to see when Santa will be coming to your neighborhood! Get your canned goods and cameras ready...Santa is coming! Merry Christmas!
