Buyers increasingly are adding a desire for more efficient technology in their homes. This desire is added to the wish list that already includes open floor plans, master suites and vaulted ceilings. Pre-wired homes and homes that are smarter and more connected are in higher demand. According to a recent study by the National Association of Home Builders Research Center and the Consumer Electronics Association, the installation of structured wiring in newly constructed homes rose from 45% in 2002 to 53% in 2006. Do you have a neighborhood watch group? These groups are great for deterring neighborhood crime and are proven across the country to work. Alert neighbors reduce opportunities for crime to occur. If your neighborhood does not have an organized neighborhood watch here's a great way to get started: -contact your local police department for support, information and training. -help residents get to know one another by holding regular meetings. Also invite the local police to attend these meetings. -Be sure to invite all the local neighbors to join. There is an art to negotiations. Negotiations are successful when there is a win-win for all parties involved. Sometimes we negotiate and believe we have reached a win-win. We believe this right up until someone comes up with a new objection. Then what? Once we have truly figured out what all parties TRULY hope to garner, then and only then can real negotiations happen. The difficult part is that sometimes the parties involved are often confused and misled on what their true goals are. We must dig deeper to truly uncover each parties true passion and goals. What better way to celebrate the upcoming Veteran's Day holiday than to take the time to ship a care package. If you don't know a particular soldier then there are some great websites that can direct you such as www.troopcarepackage.com, www.anysoldier.com or www.treatsfortroops.com. Ship pre-packaged, non-perishable food and powdered drink mixes, phone cards, toiletries, books, magazines, dvds, sunscreen. Remember to keep food items separate from non-food items when shipping. Chino Hills Closed Sales for October - 11/10/07 05:41 PM
Local stats from the MRMLS show that for the month of October, twenty single family homes were closed sales. 80% sold for under the list price. Two condos/townhomes sold and both were sold for under the list price. As of November 10, 2007, there are currently 382 single family homes on the active market and 45 townhmes/condos on the active market. I'll keep you posted on what sells this month and how many active properties remain on the market. Chino Hills-Adopt A Family Program - 11/10/07 05:19 PM
The City of Chino Hills has an "Adopt-A-Family" Program that assists families that have financial hardships that may prevent them from providing basic necessities and/or gifts for their families at Christmas. Families who qualify will be "adopted" by a local business, community group, or residents who will provide items for the family at Christmas. To apply each applicant must make an appointment to complete their paperwork at the Recreation Division located at 2001 Grand Ave. All meetings are confidential. The annual food and gift giveaway for local families in need will be underway soon for Thanksgiving and Christmas. In addition to donated food, Caring For the Hills also hopes to receive items for children and teens. The relative stressfulness of each event is indicated by the number on the left. The most stressful life event was assigned a value of 100, and other events were assigned lower values in proportion to their effects on stress.
