The Sarasota Real Estate Market Is Hot, Hot, Hot!!! The Sarasota real estate market finished the month of May with another hot month of sales. There were 854 closed transactions, which is the second highest month since September 2005.
Of the 854 closed transactions for the month of May, 591 were single family homes and 263 were condominiums. Sales for May of 2012 were 7.2 percent higher than the same month last year. Pending sales (homes under contract, but not closed) remained high at 1,075, the fourth month in a row over 1,000!
