Marin County Average Sales Price and Units Sold 2001 - present - 12/16/07 01:43 PM
The chart below tells the story...  Prices are holding--at least in Southern Marin--with volume down from recent years.  Novato and Northern San Rafael have been hit the hardest.  If you drive through Novato right now seems there are For Sale signs on every street.  If you have been thinking about buying a home in Marin County, now is a good time.
So far for the month of December 63 homes have Sold in Marin County with another 64 currently Pending.  If all of the Pending homes close this month it will shape up to be much like November.

Sonoma, CA, Average Sales Price and Units Sold 2001 - present - 12/16/07 01:36 PM
As the chart below shows, volume was at it's lowest in October of this year.  HOWEVER, only 3 homes have sold so far in the town of Sonoma for the month of December (yikes!) and only 10 more are pending.  December 2007 could down in history as the worst month in real estate history in this beautiful town.

Marin County Real Estate Market Conditions Update ~ November 2007 - 12/09/07 12:06 PM
As of December 6, 2007 16% of available listings in Marin County are in escrow, indicating a Buyer's Market.  Of course, this will vary from town to town.  But, overall, it's a great time to buy real estate in Marin County.
For the month of November 2007 171 homes sold in Marin County for an average final selling price of $1,218,569.
It took these homes an average of 78 days to sell.
The towns where the best deals can be found are San Rafael and Novato.
