This most definately one of the coolest books I own on Real Estate. It is written from the perspective of how housing was created way back in the day, over the centuries, over the decades, and in the current times. It has very detailed information and photographs of many different home styles. There's a section on early architecture in the U.S. & Folk architecture, colonial architecture, european revival, high victorian, eclectic revivals, pre-world war II - modern houses, and the modern age.

Inflation is a big problem overall though. It's awful that a box of cereal costs as much as a gallon of gas in some areas. I think consumer spending is also a problem. I'm reminded of it every time I go through a fast-food restaurant drive thru when I see the sign that says "We Accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, ATM Debit". And heck, tickets to a movie are almost $10 bucks these days. Is there anything we can do as Consumers that might help the economy? The answer is probably something like "sure, SPEND YOUR MONEY"!

This month Active listings dropped to 2400 compared to June when they were slightly higher at 2456. New listings dropped significantly from 451 in June to 409 in July. The number of properties Under Contract nudge up from 100 in June to 107 in July while the number of Contingent properties fell ever so slightly from 55 in June to 53 in July. The Actual List Price Average for Homes Sold also dipped slightly from $403,846 last month to $402,957 in July.
