This was my favorite hike this year - Alta, Utah - from Albion Basin to the summit above Catherine's Pass!  The ski resort is beautiful, and a great place to hike or camp in the summer months.  There are wildflowers galore in Albion Basin, and the views are spectacular from the top.  That is Lake Catherine that can be seen in the background, which features crystal-clear waters.  Now, it's all buried in snow for all of the skiers out there, who love to come to Utah to enjoy the "Greatest Snow on Earth"!   It truly is fantastic snow, light and fluffy like feathers, otherwise fondly known as champagne powder.  That is our beloved Alta, Utah!
