The Julie Penrose Fountain located at America the Beautiful Park in Downtown Colorado Springs is most often referred to people as “The O Fountain.” Designed as an infinity symbol, and titled “Continuum” by David Barber and Bill Burgess, the fountain rotates as a wall of water, symbolizing the life-giving movement of water between the atmosphere and the earth, splashes all who play at the fountain. Around the fountain lies a shallow splash area which has some movement to it like a miniture river. The fountain is open June to August from 11am to 5pm. Life guards are on duty at these times
