Even here in rural Preble County Ohio, we are fortunate enough to have a great gated community like Lakengren.

But I do "cell phone" and drive, and last night it dawned on me the dangerousness of this habit.
I went to see a client a couple towns away.  When I left, I gave my husband a call to let him know I was heading home.  We started talking and I finally hung up the phone about 5 minutes before I made it home.

I've heard a lot about the advantages of a "soft"market, the biggest one being that maybe it will "weed out" the Realtors among us who never really got into the business to actually WORK it, but rather to make a quick buck.
Pretty easy to do a few years back.  Sit at your phone duty and answer the phone.  That would pretty much guarantee you business when I was freshly licenced, back in 2002.  Fortunately, I came into the business with a pretty strong marketing background, and was never content to just wait for the phone to ring.  GOOD THING!  Because here … (10 comments)

So you want to be a Realtor?  Or maybe you don't.  You're just one of the many folks out there wondering what it is we Realtors actually DO all day.  So I thought I'd give you a little excerpt from a day in the life of Kelley, the Preble County Realtor.

I am just as much to blame as the rest of for being a little too "tuned in" to what the media has to say, not only about the real estate market, but about life on this thing called Earth in general.
