I want to recommend Seth Godin’s new book Tribes.  Here’s my book report.
It’s a quick easy to read read.
Seth talks about how our personal worlds are networked in “Tribes”.  Tribes at work, at play, at worship, Tribes, Tribes, everywhere Tribes. Tribes need leaders.  Seth encourages us to lead our Tribes.
As a real estate agent, one of your Tribes would be anyone who might employ or recommend your services.  (example: personal network/past clients/current clients/friends/ neighbors/suspects and prospects)

I struggle, I'm challenged, I have hopes, dreams, wishes and aspirations.  Unfortunately, as Fred has shared, HOPE is not a strategy. Smart action is. (Personally, for me...surrounding myself with Realtor Icons works like the sun rises.)
Good News and Bad News.  In pursuits professional and personal, to grow requires more...doing what the average, ordinary and amateur won't.  Most won't pay the price.  For those who do - Expertise.

What business are you really in?
Sure, you help people buy and sell real estate, if all goes well, in the end there's a "closing".
But, how does it all begin?
I believe it begins with a conversation, which leads to connection, then discovery,  then you provide solutions/services, your solutions/services lead to getting hired and or referred.
Does that sound right to you?
