CELL PHONE ATTACHMENT, IS IT WORTH IT, OR WHAT HAPPENED AFTER I BROKE MY WRIST. - 05/25/11 09:56 PM
Cell Phone attachment, is it worth it, or what happened after I broke my wrist.
For those of you who did not see my previous post, please click attachment for the first part of the story.
I out to place this in the humor department, because at this point laughing is about all I can do.  I went to the Mayo Clinic Specialty Building here in Phoenix today as a follow-up referral from my family doctor.  He sent me on the referral last Friday after looking at my arm and wrist and xrays.  The triquetral bone is broken.  The link … (6 comments)

Is our Attachment to Always Being Reachable or Connected Really Worth It? - 05/17/11 02:35 PM
Is our Attachment to Always Being Reachable or Connected Really Worth It?
That is a question which I have been asking myself since about 06:15 last Friday morning.  As some of you have read I have recently gone through a 10 day long flu illness.  Thankfully, I am mostly recovered from it at this time.  The irony is that for the last three weeks, my wife and son and I have been preparing for his LAW SCHOOL graduation party this past Saturday!  Good news, with help of friends and some others, it came off as a huge success.  And the tent … (4 comments)

MOTHER'S DAY, AN AMERICAN HISTORY - 05/06/11 03:04 AM
Mother's Day, an American History - 31 Day Challenge Day 5
The history of Mother's Day in American can basically be traced to two women, Julia Ward Howe and Anna M. Jarvis.
The Mother's Day Proclamation of 1870 conceptualized Howe's feelings towards unifying mothers in the United States as a means of protesting the death and slaughter of mother's sons which resulted in the US Civil War.  While the events started in 18 cities in 1873, the movement ended after Howe stopped funding many of these events.  However, her actions planted the seeds for others to follow.
In 1908 following the … (3 comments)

CINCO DE MAYO - 05/05/11 02:41 AM
Cinco de Mayo  A Southwestern US Heritage Day - 31 Day Challenge Day 4
Here in the desert southwest a lot of our heritage is heavily influnced by the Spanish and Mexican cultures.  Arizona history is laced with famous people from Coronado the explorer to Father Kino who established many missions throughout the southwest.  In the 1700's Spain founded cities in Tucson and Tubac.  Mexico was occupied by the French during the period of the US Civil WAR.  On May 5, 1862, an ill equipped Mexican army of 4,000 defeated an elite French army numbering about 8.000 at the Battle of … (0 comments)

MY FAVORITE PLACE - 05/03/11 05:02 PM
My Favorite Place - 31 Day Challenge Day 3
I am very fortunate to be approximately 4 hours from MY FAVORITE PLACE in the world (so far).  I have been able to travel a bit in my time on this planet, and though I have seen some amazing things, people and places, my favorite remains here in my backyard!  Yes, the following photo says so very much about the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River.  And this is only of the South Rim.

Regardless of what time of year, season, time of day or any other variable you might think … (4 comments)

31 Day of Challenge - Day 2 - Working through Illness - 05/02/11 03:24 PM
31 Day of Challenge - Day 2 - Working through Illness

As I begin Day 2 of this challenge, I find my motivation challenged.  Through the opportunity of living with family, we have all picked up a sore throat together with productive coughing and other flu-like symptoms.
Oridinarily, I'd go to bed and rest for a quicker recovery.  That, however, does not support me in the challenge.  With the modern conveniences of technology, internet, cell phone, etc. I am given ample opportunities to create a useful blog.
So, in short, my topic today is about Working through Illness.  I have … (2 comments)

31 DAY OF MAY CHALLENGE 2011 - 05/01/11 09:21 PM
31 Day of May Challenge 2011
Just what I need, another challenge!  (Gr%&(#+%#@!!!) My coach is really on my case again to do more blogging!  But I really don't feel like it.  The market IS what the market IS.  Blogging won't help!  Then she shared how many current clients she's working with directly from her blogs over the last year.  Hmmm?
Sound familiar.  Well, that's where I was Friday during our weekly coaching session.  I don't want to blog three times a week, let alone every day!  So, what is the perfect challenge from my coach?  Yes, you got it.  BLOG … (12 comments)
