Now don't get me wrong, I love me some good ole Michigan winter! Usually around mid February, I start yearning for spring to come along. Well, it's hit me already. I figure it's because we've received record snowfall. It just keeps snowing and snowing and then it snows some more! Winter time in Western Michigan Do you ever feel like you have cabin fever? Over the holidays we had so much snow that we felt like prisoners in our own home. We had approximately 2 ft of both light and fluffy and wet and heavy snow. At the same time we were entertaining my In-laws from Venice FL. Needless to say we made the best out this snow situation. Spring is here and Downtown Grand Rapids and surrounding areas offer several festivals during any given weekend in the spring, summer and fall. These events offer a great time for all to get out and take part in our community happenings.
