Ski season is coming to an end, but the spring skiing in Jackson Holehas been a pleasant surprise. With the sun and warmth it's great just to be outside. The mornings are filled with top to bottom groomers and as the sun hits the snow, the off-trail softens into a nice corn and you can go pretty much anywhere. Just keep your eye out because there are shark fins lurking ahead. It's a balmy 35 degrees on the summit right now. Wish I was out there, but I got a little sun-burned yesterday. The skiing is surprisingly great! Some of the south facing runs softened up and we were able to ski them for the first time really this season. If you are into sunny ski days and relaxing for lunch outside with a cold beer, then the next couple of days are for you. If you only like powder, don't worry, we usually get some big March storms here in Jackson Hole.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort had nearly 5 feet of snow fall in the past week!! This morning, not much has changed as I look out my window. It just keeps on snowing! It was an epic weekend of skiing and spending last season teaching my fiance has started to pay off! We got some great runs in, although she did get buried a few times. I skied right passed her once and could barely see her. That's what happens when you wake up to 17 inches Saturday morning and 20 inches on Sunday morning. Nice!! Whether you are a local or a visitor, Jackson Hole Sports located in the Bridger Center across from the Gondola, is the place to service your skis and boots. Due to the lack of snowfall there have been many obstacles that have been tearing up the bottoms of our skis. My fiance had a large core shot to one of hers and the guys at Jackson Hole Sports had it fixed and back to her in 10 minutes and they are very reasonable in their pricing.
