Today, the supply of homes on the market far outweighs the demand. As a result, home prices must come down.

First time home buyers are a growing portion of my business.
As that number grows, I am always learning.
Radon, mold, closing, attorney, inspection, mortgage, down payment, property tax...These words can scare first time home buyers.
Buyers should not be scared. Buying a home should be great experience. Not terrifying.

The home is vacant. It's a nice three bedroom home in the south of Naperville. Tons of space, two thirds of an acre, a sun room, big windows, walk to Springbrook Forest Preserve...Needs just a bit of updating...

According to the Associated Press:
Pending home sales unexpectedly rose in April to the highest reading since October. The National Association of Realtors' seasonally adjusted index of pending sales for existing homes rose to 88.2 from a March reading of 83.0 (the lowest level since the index started in 2001).

I always find it interesting showing foreclosed homes.
I showed one this morning. It was in a beautiful subdivision in Naperville called West Wind.
Originally priced at $451,900, the home has been on the market just over three months.
This home is now priced at $383,900. It is clear the bank wants it sold. (14 comments)

So I wrote a post yesterday, titled Housing Decline-What is really going on. In it, I thought that we real estate agents are spending too much time blaming the media for their coverage of the housing market.
