I taught my first class on social media last week at our office in Naperville.
One of the first questions I asked the class was "How many of you already have a facebook profile?"
About 90% of the hands popped up...
My next questions was "When was the last time you actually posted something on facebook?"
All I got were blank stares...
Are you a wallflower? Or do you like to dance?
The world is filled with all types of people. The leaders. The followers. The bold. The shy. The wallflowers and the dancers...

I just read yet another featured post on Active Rain questioning if social media was a sinkhole for most Realtors...
Of course it is!
This is such a tiring debate.
Social media IS a "sinkhole" for most Realtors.
But so are:
Open houses Door knocking Email campaigns Newsletters Cold Calling Most things we try don't work. At first. That is why 70% of agents quit in the first year...
I have hosted many open houses with little or no visitors...
But I still host open houses...
Real estate sales is hard. Social media is hard too.
