plan: HOW IS YOUR BUSINESS PLAN COMING? DELIVERING KEN'S RIVER BEND AND CARROLWOOD VIEW... - 03/27/09 05:16 PM
How is your business plan coming?
Do you have one?
I did.  Ken's 6 month business plan.  It was simple, yet it kept me on track.  Focused.  I completed "the plan" about a month ago.
I have yet to put a new one together...
I am still working hard.  Open houses.  Delivering newsletters.  Blogging.  Showings.  Listings...
Yet I don't feel quite as confident because I am no longer "on plan".
Hopefully succesful, but who really knows?
So how is your business plan coming?
Do you have one?
If you don't, why don't you try making a ONE MONTH PLAN...
Keep it real simple.  … (6 comments)

plan: IT TOOK ME 7 MONTHS, BUT I FINISHED MY 6 MONTH BUSINESS PLAN - 03/02/09 07:42 PM
I wrote down and posted my 6 month business plan last August.
My plan revolved around delivering my newsletters to 8 different neighborhoods.  My "farm" areas.
I promised to do it rain or shine...
In life, as in goal setting, I believe some flexibility is vital.
During the cold and snowy January we had here in Naperville, I fell behind my schedule...
Yet I was still determined to finish.
And last Friday, I did....
I am proud of that.

plan: KEN'S 6 MONTH BUSINESS PLAN...THE UPDATE...I AM HALF WAY THERE - 11/11/08 01:24 PM
At the end of August, I wrote down and posted my 6 month business plan.
When I first wrote my plan, I had a solid database of prospects collected over my first three years in the business, but zero listings and no real hot buyer prospects.
I had just joined my new office, Keller Williams in Naperville, after more than two and a half years at a RE/MAX office in Lisle.
Back in August, I was drowning in all the new systems that I would be using at Keller Williams.  They were very different than the ones I was using at RE/MAX.  Certainly new to me.
I felt … (26 comments)

plan: KEN'S 6 MONTH BUSINESS PLAN - 09/06/08 03:31 PM
I wrote this business plan last week and posted it.  I wanted to post it again this week, slightly updated.  I have written lines through the neighborhoods that I have delivered my newsletter to.
I am on schedule with my deliveries.  Currently out of ink.  I need to purchase more ink for our color laser printer.  The ink costs around $300.  The ink should last for about 2000 copies.
So far, I have received exactly one call from a potential seller.  It was a man that took my flyer from my hand as I delivered it to the Carrolwood neighborhood.  We … (20 comments)

plan: KEN'S 6 MONTH BUSINESS PLAN - 08/30/08 07:41 PM
Ken's 6 Month Business Plan:
Marketing:  Very simple.  Very traceable.  Very effective.
I will hang 1400 neighborhood newsletters every two months.  Rain or shine.  8 neighborhoods.  7 in Naperville.  1 in Lisle.
The neighborhoods were hand picked by me.  I have a personal connection to all of them.
Quality marketing+strong personal presence+quality product=huge business.
