It's official. I was lonely without my Active Rain today... OK. Lonely is over stating it. I actuallly had a wonderful day. The weather was beautiful in Naperville. People want to BUY homes. I can feel the excitement. My wife, my daughter and I had dinner with a very nice couple on the other side of town. They are from France. I enjoyed hearing their perspective on world issues. They were much more conservative than I had expected. Active Rain seemed to be down today. I read many good posts that I struggled to comment on. I need proof Active Rain. I need your help. I have recently become addicted to this site. I turn to it even before the sports page in the morning. My problem is... That my wife is, how do I say, somewhat skeptical of the, how do I say, financial benefit of blogging. Sure, she is impressed with the numbers that I throw at her. "Great Ken. Good afternoon. What a day it has been. The powers that be at Active Rain chose my post from yesterday, "I am a Horrible Realtor"' as a featured post!! Wow. It was cool. I received more comments from that one post, then I have received from my first 34 posts combine. Thanks for sending the attention my way, Active Rain. In two and a half years in real estate, I have learned something important for sales and life. It takes time. Life is about learning, not being the smartest. If you are always improving, even just a little bit, you will be a huge success. One of my early mentors, Sue Daley of RE/MAX Action told me early on that I would learn something new about this crazy business every day. And I have. No seriously. Do you? I was originally just thinking it would be a funny title, but... Just a little back ground. Yes, I do shave it myself. Gillette Mach III Turbo. Takes less than 5 minutes. In the shower. I do it about twice a week. I started losing it in my twenties. Boy, that was tough for me. I used to have blond hair. Thinning hair is difficult for a young single guy. OK. I know. The point of blogging is learning and building relationships. To share common experiences. If this is true, how come I can't stop staring at my points!! Hello World! I have been productive today. I feel that is one of the biggest challenges facing realtors, especially newer ones. I consider myself a hard worker. Nothing is tougher on me then when I feel unproductive. I love mowing the lawn. You can see the work you have done immediately. Same with snow shovelling. Not always so with real estate... So what have I been doing? I drove the limo last night until 1:30 AM. I took a gentleman to the airport this morning as well.
