How Do I Stage this Bookcase? - 08/31/11 12:53 PM
So my townhouse is very long and skinny.  The 2nd floor consists of the kitchen, living room, dining room and a bathroom.  I purchased a bookcase last weekend to divide the living room and dining room to give it a cozier feeling.  When sitting in the living room, chillaxin as I do, it looks great because all the knick-knacks are staged for the living room.  But when seated at the dining room table, all I see is the back of picture frames etc.  Any ideas from all you knowledgeable stagers out there???

Well it has been way too long and I need to finish my series of my TOAL (Trip Of A Lifetime).  Our last port before heading back to Barcelona was Croatia.  We had a day of rest between Venice and Croatia so I was ready to roll when we ported in. 
We took a bus to old town which is behind the walls.  It was a very, very hot day and we decided to jump on a glass bottom boat ride to escape the hot sun.  The clear teal water, breeze and gorgeous view of Dubrovnik from the sea was perfect.   … (25 comments)

It's a hot summer August day and we Seattleites are soaking up every piece of it!  A friend's parents are in town from NJ and we're having a big italian feast tonight.  I'm hoping they're Yankee fans so we can discuss the history made last night by the NY Yankees.  I don't know how they do it but they continue to amaze!

It's a beautiful over the top amazing day here in Seattle!  Windows open, flowers sprinkled throughout the office, Friday fun plans being made.  We work hard so it's only appropriate that we play hard too, right??!?  I know all of you work your cabooses off so I hope there are some fun events planned in your weekend too!

I am one to fully appreciate the little things in life.  The treats that land in our paths unexpectedly.  Recently, I was at the Brandi Carlile show and guess who came out to do a duet?  Dave Matthews!!!!!  Talk about excited!  A local radio DJ sat behind me and videotaped the whole thing which is where this vid came from.  They performed Angel from Montgomery which is an amazing tune.  Sigh......

I know many of you are fighting the heat out there.  Getting up each hot muggy day, putting a smile on your face and showing the world what you've got can be hard.  The heat can make even the happiest person into a sour grape.  Refocus and do your best to get back on track.

I heard a very powerful and simple saying this week:  Energy flows where attention goes. 
Why do we spend our attention and therefore energy on things beyond our control?  Why do we tire ourselves focusing on the ugly?  Why do we stress out and become "that person" nobody wants to be around? 
No way.  Nope.  Not me!
