The Curtis Park Neighborhood was developed in the mid to late 1800's as a fashionable suburb with large Victorian mansions and stately homes. A short walk from Downtown, Curtis Park is Denver's oldest neighborhood.  Curtis Park also includes Denver's first park.  Curtis Park was donated to the city from Samuel S. Denver's residential real estate market is faring much better than in many other areas of the country.  The $8,000 first-time home buyers tax credit is doing exactly what it was supposed to...stimulate sales.  That, plus the slightly lower credit for repeat buyers along with low mortgage rates have spurred sales in the Mile High City.Residential sales sped up as 2009 progressed, and the upswing is primarily accredited to Denver's job market.  The job market is considerably better than in other parts of the country.  This success is largely due to the effort that Denver and Colorado as a whole has worked towards in the past … (2 comments)

On Saturday March 13th, at 10:00am Denver's annual St Patricks Day Parade will begin and end at Coors Field. The Parade will follow a circular route through the Historic Neighborhoods of Denver.  There will be clowns, floats, pipe bands, marching bands, Irish Step Dancers, High School Marching Bands plus a whole lot of fun! This venue is free to all, so come out and celebrate and don't forget to wear something GREEN!

Historic Homes of Denver: Wine & Food Series, Best Wine and Liquor Store on Capitol Hill, Denver, CO - 03/03/10 01:50 AM
I seriously doubt that my announcing that Argonauts Wine & Liquor store is a spectacular choice is going to be all that surprising to those of us that live and play in the Historic Neighborhoods of Denver. 
The folks at Argonuats Wine & Liquors were very smart when they decided to build a new building at the corner of Colfax and Clarkson.  They built a lovely red brick building that fits in perfectly with the Historic Homes of Denver that surround it.
