The newly listed Bank Owned property at 1433 Flagler Avenue in Key West is most certainly something to cheer about, especially if you are a current Key West family looking for a place that has four bedrooms, lots of quality living space, a pool, a great enclosed yard, and is in move-in condition. I was totally surprised by how nice this place looks.
The original house was built in 1953 and has been updated a couple of times in recent years. The current owner has added impact windows and doors, painted and cleaned the inside and outside, added the (2 comments)
If you have been looking for a Bank Owned property in Key West with lots of upside potential, the new listing (not mine) at 1309 Villa Mill Alley is something to cheer about. I can't say enough good things about this property. The listing Realtor does a good job, however, by stating:
"Gated entry to this large 3529 sq ft home located in famous Old Town Key West on an alley only 2 blocks from the beach and Duval street. 5BR/4BTh. Master suite down with marble bath. Large spacious kitchen, a real dining room, office/craft room, outside (0 comments)
Recently listed, but not by me, a very clean two bedroom, two bath town home located at 45 Spoonbill Way in the Key West Golf Club Community. This 900 sq ft two story town home has main level and second floor front and rear porches which seem to enlarge the living space dramatically. All of the porches on this property are screened. I personally would remove the screens, but that is a matter of preference. CLICK HERE to view more photos I took of this property. This Bank Owned home is very clean and in basic move-in condition. I just did a quick review of the real estate sales for the Island of Key West for the first nine months of 2012. Shall we celebrate with a Key West "segar" and some Mumm's champagne? I did not include any sales on Stock Island, the golf course, or any house, condo, trailer, etc. located east of Cow Key Channel. The reason I did this is that when potential buyers want to buy a place in Key West they tend to resist even looking at anything off the island itself. It usually takes a more open and accepting buyer (0 comments)
The recently listed Bank Owned house at 2434 Linda Avenue in the Mid Town area of Key West ought to appeal to Key Westers looking for a large family home in a nice neighborhood. The Monroe County Property Appraiser shows this home has 1476 sq ft of living space. It looks as though a garage was enclosed to create living space for a mother-in-law or an out of work uncle.
The listing Realtors describes the property: "Nice family home conveniently located close to everything. This property consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and sits on a (1 comments)
Just listed, but not by me, a really attractive spa home located inside the cloistered Sanctuary at the Key West Golf Club community. I got a chance to visit this new Bank Owned listing this morning, took some photos which you may view if you CLICK HERE. This 1120 Sq Ft home has two bedrooms, two and one-half baths, a spa pool, covered off street parking, and it is offered at only $384,900. I challenge you bargain hunters to find anything comparable as far as age, amenities, or price in the Key West area. I don't think you can (3 comments)
Attention Key West bargain hunters, this is your second chance at this Bank Owned house that just went back on the market on August 8th. It went under contract right after it was listed a couple of weeks ago. For whatever reason, the house is now available a second time. I took a quick peek this morning, snapped some pics, and I am here to report that I think this is a good deal. (Not that my opinion means that much.)
1221 20th Street is located on the east end of the island of Key West. It sits on (0 comments)
First Off: That is not my pic above. I recently had a buyer in town who thought the black and white photo above was of me when I was in high school. I know I'm getting old, but that guy might be "in the home" by now...
3343 Flagler Avenue - Key West, Florida Second, there is a reason for local home buyers to cheer about this new Bank Owned home at 3343 Flagler Avenue that was just listed by my friend Scott Forman. Scott describes the property this way: "This gem is a spacious 3 bedroom 3 full (3 comments)
829 Simonton Street - Bank Owned - Old Town - Key West
Preferred Properties Key West just listed the landmark building at 829 Simonton Street in Old Town Key West. I wrote about this property several months ago when it was a short sale that, well, didn't sell. Now the building is Bank Owned and Offered at $935,000.
The building was originally built circa 1874 and was significantly updated in 2002. The building sold in 2004 for $1,600,000. The building was updated again when the last commercial tenant customized the offices which occupy the main floor, or (1 comments)
If you are looking for an affordable Key West home in Old Town Key West, the just listed Bank Owned stand alone cottage at 1014 Varela Street #1 might be the place you have been looking for. 2533 Patterson Avenue - Key West - Bank Owned If you are a local Key West resident or if you are hoping to here to live full time and aren't a member of the lucky buyers that have uber dollars, the new Bank Owned family home at 2533 Patterson Avenue in Key West just might interest you. In the words of the listing Realtor, not me, read about this new Key West property: "Beautiful quiet residential neighborhood. Fantastic square footage for the price. This Bank Owned Key West property would make a great purchase for a first time home (1 comments)
627 Southard Street - Bank Owned - Key West Just listed, but not by me, 627 Southard Street in Old Town Key West. This property is priced at just $399,000 and it will spark a bidding war because it has so much potential and because of its prime location. The listing Realtor describes the property as: "Historic Property In Old Town. Prime Location In Need Of Complete Renovation. All Cash Offers Only. Proof Of Funds Required With All Offers." The original house was built in 1899. I dug into the old shoebox and found the photo below that shows the (0 comments)
1230 5th Street - Bank Owned - Key West If you are looking for a "Fixer Upper" may I suggest that you consider the new listing at 1230 5th Street in the midtown section of Key West. I showed the property last week one day after it was listed. My buyer was looking for a place he could fluff and make all nice. The challenges this property presented were more than my buyer anticipated. The listing Realtor describes the 5th Street property this way: "Spacious 4 Bedroom 3 Bathroom 2 story home on a large corner lot. Huge pool w Guest (1 comments)
key west bank owned: Misconception - Key West Real Estate - 09/29/11 10:20 AM
As I get older the more I thought I knew becomes blurred. Partly because my memory isn't what it used to be (true), and because things that I grew up believing are true no more. I really did believe in the Tooth Fairy. I really believed in Santa Clause despite the protestations of my big brother otherwise. When Officer Goody came to my grade school and told my classmates about safety, I believed all policemen were good. I believed, for example, that my government would never lie to me. Life taught me that sometimes others say things that are not true: (1 comments)
key west bank owned: Bank Owned Unit - Key West by the Sea - 09/26/11 08:34 AM
The asking price on this 1221 sq ft three bedroom two bath bank owned condominium unit at Key West by the Sea just got a lot better, just $264,300. 319 Grinnell Street - Old Town - Key West - Bank Owned Just listed, but not by me, 319 Grinnell Street near the Historic Key West Seaport. This house is Bank Owned. I expect multiple offers on this very interesting property because of its low offering price of just $299,500, and the fact that it has three key features most second home buyers want in a Key West house: (1) style, (2) pool, and off street parking. The listing Realtor describes this house this way: "Fantastic Location In Key West! Walk To The Water, Water Activities, Shops, And Entertainment. Boasting (3 comments)

key west bank owned: Key West Golf Course - Bank Owned - Great Price - 08/16/11 01:04 PM
Newly listed, but not by me, Key West Golf Club two bedroom town home with a great view. This 780 sq ft town home is bank owned and priced to sell at $199,900 or $256 per sq ft. That is the lowest price per sq ft on a non-short sale property.Downstairs you will find the small but efficient kitchen and open living and dining area that flows out to the deck which has great golf course views. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with vaulted ceilings that share a bath. This house has storm shutters for all windows and doors. There is (2 comments)

key west bank owned: 1017 17th Street - Key West - Bank Owned - 07/22/11 12:23 PM
Frequent readers know how much I like to dig into the shoebox to find old photos of Key West. Since most of "New Town" is "new", finding old photos is difficult. The above photo shows the New Town area when photographed in the 1970s. I marked the approximate location of the new Bank Owned property located at 1017 17th Street with an "X". The listing broker describes the property this way: "Bank Owned! Three bedroom two bath home with swimming pool in a great neighborhood in New Town Key West. Spanish and ceramic tile throughout. Great pool area for entertaining. Nice (2 comments)
