Just listed, but not by me, 3221 Pearl Avenue which is located in the New Town area of Key West. Entrance to the property is controlled via security gate. Paved and (1 comments)

If you are looking for a Key West getaway with waterfront views, private dock, newer construction, and located near Old Town, you might want to look at the new listing at 10 McCoy Circle in the Flagler's Landing Condominiums. There are just 13 units at Flagler's Landing which were constructed in 2001. Only a few have changed ownership since the development was built, so you may not have heard of or even known of its existence. The aerial photo above shows the location just off North Roosevelt Boulevard in the Hilton Haven addition to Key West. The Key West Yacht (2 comments)
1124 Stump Lane was built circa 1890 and rests near mid block on one of the slow lanes of Old Town Key West. Stump Lane runs parallel with Southard Street to the south. It starts at White Street and ends at Frances Street. It's only one block long and many locals do not know its name or location. Residents on this lane are never bothered by Conch trains or trolley cars and only rarely do tourists pass by the houses. And that is a good thing.
The listing Realtor describes 1124 Stump Lane as "Completely renovated Charming Conch (0 comments)
1108 Fleming Street in Old Town Key West is pretty as a picture - and then more. It's the poster child for quintessential Key West charm. Now it is available for sale at $1,250,000. The listing Broker at Preferred Properties Key West (that's where I work but this is not my listing) says of 1411 Olivia Street that is located in the Meadows Area: "This charming Key West home is located in the Meadows area of old town. May 2nd was a horrible day in Key West, at least it was for me and a few of my fellow Realtors (Roger Emmons, Frank Kirwin, Robin Van Mater, Sabrina Acevedo, Rick Lively, Bill Hammesmith, and Jeffrey Dunaway) that showed houses in a torrential rainstorm that brought up to seven inches of rain to our little island.
My buyers and I made it back to their beautiful little vacation rental no worse for wear. They may end up buying a place. They got to see about the worst of life in Key West and did not seem all that (22 comments)
If the title of today's blog doesn't get your attention, maybe the asking price will: $249,000. CLICK HERE to view the Key West mls datasheet and to view listing photos on 1209 Margaret Street located in Old Town Key West. I have written before about this property and I have shown it. I wrote about the beautiful house next door which went under contract within the past week. I suspect potential buyers for that property were bothered by the prospect of having an ugly duckling of sort house located next door. I told my prospects that someone would buy the (1 comments)
Just listed by Preferred Properties Key West, that's where I work but this is not my listing, 1020 Von Phister Street which is located in the Casa Marina area of Key West. I know this area well because I have lived about 100 feet east of this house since 1995. I watched as the old house that used to be located here was torn down and the present house was completed in 2002. The house was one of two houses designed by internationally famous architect Yum Kee Fu. (The other house is located on nearby South Street.)
809 Eaton Street in Old Town Key West dates back to circa 1840 when it was built for Henry Lowe. The house was totally restored and expanded in 2005 when it was featured in the Old Island Foundation House Tour. The house is typical of other Bahamian styled homes of that era located in the immediate neighborhood.
Many of the Key West's founding fathers were expatriates from the Bahamas. They brought with them the architectural style and construction techniques with which they were familiar. Bahamian styled houses were placed on piers and had wood frames and had tall ceilings (3 comments)
I am always searching for something new (or old as the case may be) to add a bit of character the the Old Town houses that I write about on my little blog. Whilst searching the Internet I found the photo of the handsome young man below who once resided at 517 Elizabeth Street, Key West. His name was Charles Olivieri. He lived at 517 Elizabeth Street and was employed by the Florida East Coast Railroad as a Night-Caller. I just love the ring of that occupation which today would likely be construed as something involving the sex trade. (1 comments)
Just listed by Preferred Properties Key West, that's where I work but this is not my listing, 1110 Petronia Street in the Old Town area of Key West. The house itself is all spiffed up and ready for move-in. The combined living, dining, and kitchen area provides open and bright family friendly living spaces. French doors at the rear open out to the rear yard where you might add a pool. The master bedroom is quite large, and the two other bedrooms are larger than some I have seen in other houses in the area. CLICK HERE to view more photos I took of this property.
