Sandra has some great ideas for staying in the thick of what your kids are up to! Transitioning back to school routines can be difficult, especially when it still feels like summer and I am asking my own children to get to bed and it is still "light" outside. A necessary time to try to delay the long working hours and be there for the homework and the new struggles of their grade. Keep smiling and hug those kids extra tight! And Then There Were Two....What is a Seller to Do? - 08/29/12 08:28 PM
And then there were two...what is a seller to do? We have all been there....either with a buyer or a seller. You are the listng agent and you are calling for feedback on the showing and the buyer's agent tells you that you are in the TOP TWO! Elated, you hang up the phone and carefully decide IF you are going to relay this information to the seller. Why, you may ask? Well, depending on the seller, it could be disasterous. Or it could be beneficial. Example of disasterous: You tell your seller that the buyer has narrowed the choices for (0 comments)
Sellers: Don't Let the Dogs Out on the Buyers!! - 08/28/12 12:34 PM
I will be the first one to admit that our pets are truly our furry children. We love them so much, so of course we expect you to bristle when an agent tells you that your beloved furry family member needs to be removed for showings. We have our reasons and I will list a few for you here: 1. Yes, your pet LOVES LOVES LOVES people. We get it....but the problem is that they love people when YOU are there. Strangers are a completely different story. As lovely as our pets are in front of us, we know that they (29 comments)

You missed it! Staged and pending in just 21 days at 1508 B Avenue NW! This cute bungalow was priced at $87,500 and after a very rainy (and busy) open house on Sunday with 8 groups in an hour and a half, one buyer decided that it was THE ONE! She came back with her agent that evening and had an offer to me an hour later for the seller to consider! All accepted and done yesterday with inspections to come later this week. The buyer told her agent that it was the most cozy little house and she just felt (4 comments)
Here are 4 sure fire ways to tell if you are headed for an expired listing contract with your current agent: 1. In the meantime, the one across the street came on the market, was priced (4 comments)

Whether you are relocating from another state or you are moving within the market area, there is always some adjustments to be made! My focus is on the well-being and safety of your family. A house is very important, but making the Cedar Rapids area your home takes a little more effort. My clients call me long after the closing for advice on a veternarian for their new puppy or the best daycares in the area. Meeting new people is always fun for me and I love my job! Call me if you would like to know what your home is worth in the current market or if you think that you might want to move up to another home somewhere else. We will miss you, but I will happy to get you on your way to your next adventure as quickly as possible!
