home staging main line: Home Staging Transforms Wayne Pennsylvania Home A Second Time Around - 10/17/09 10:16 AM
You know you have been staging for a long time when you get a call from a client you helped years ago to stage their current home. I was elated to hear from 2 clients last month who I had helped 3 years ago and were moving again. Clearly these clients understood that home staging was an essential part of marketing and selling their homes.
I was equally surprised to get a call from a new client to stage their home. When they told me the address of the house something seemed all too familiar. When I pulled up to the house … (13 comments)

home staging main line: The Home Sellers did all the work- Our Most Recent Statistics for Main Line Home Staging - 07/24/09 09:38 AM
I just got off the phone with an ecstatic Realtor- her most recent property was listed on Sunday, got an offer on Monday, accepted the offer on Tuesday and got a back up offer Tuesday evening. The reason she is so thrilled is not only because this home sold so quickly but because the last home we staged for her also sold in less than a week!
This Realtor understands that in today's market staging a home is essential to getting a faster sale. She also knows that home staging does not have to be expensive. Often times all a client needs is a home … (4 comments)

home staging main line: My client surprised me today- he did his home staging homework! Before, During and After Pics - 07/22/09 01:38 PM
Lately it seems like we have been physically staging a lot of occupied or lived in homes- this means a lot of decluttering and packing up client belongings! Typically we do not do hands on staging for occupied homes, instead, we provide a home staging consultation and the client completes the plan that we recommend and then we come back for fine tuning or to add a few accent items.
For our most recent project in Villanova Pennsylvania we were asked to do the physical staging and rearrange the home seller's items to make the home presentable for sale. When I first visited … (16 comments)

home staging main line: If A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words then Home Staging is Worth Thousands More For Your Home - 07/17/09 06:58 PM
Still not convinced staging can help you to properly prepare your home for sale? Take a look at the pictures below of a home staging we did in Gladwyne Pennsylvania this week. If this does not convince you to stage your home I do not know what will! Staging can transform even the most "lived" in home into a showplace that appeals to the most potential buyers. Take this bachelor pad for example and consider what we are selling- how someone lives in their home or how buyers want to envision living in a home. Just looking at these pics makes me … (19 comments)

home staging main line: Can You Make Accessories Only Staging Work? - 06/17/09 03:42 PM
As home staging professionals it is our job to help clients best market and present their homes for sale. Often times we are required to work within our client's budget constraints and our vision of how to best furnish and accessorize a space may not be feasible.
In the past, I have hesitated to offer "accessories only" packages because adding furniture and area rugs not only allows buyers to envision how they can live in a space but also properly shows the size and scale of each room.
In this current economy however I am finding that more and more clients cannot afford to … (21 comments)

home staging main line: A Home Staging Compromise in Wynnewood Pennsylvania - 06/17/09 10:03 AM
We recently had the pleasure of helping Sposato Builders with one of their most recent Main Line home renovations. This was an especially rewarding experience because the client chose not only to stage a few key rooms but also to finish the lower level of this home per our recommendation.
As a home staging professional it is our duty to make sure that we are giving our client all the right information about what they need to do to best market and present their property for sale. In this case, completing the basement meant staging less areas in the home, however this … (7 comments)

home staging main line: Mirror Mate Frame Transforms Action News Viewer's Bathroom - 04/18/09 02:28 PM
As a home staging expert on the Main Line, I understand that buyers are critical in today's market- updated kitchens and bathrooms are at the top of their must have list. One way that home sellers can update their bathrooms on a budget is to consider enhancing what they already have instead of a full bathroom makeover.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of using MirrorMate Frames to transform some home owners' bathrooms in Downingtown, Chester County Pennsylvania. Instead of removing their existing plate glass mirrors, we added a MirrorMate Frame to give their bathrooms an instant update. Take a look at … (9 comments)

home staging main line: Window Treatments to Try...Before you Buy - 01/15/09 02:53 PM
I have a confession! It is a secret that I have been hiding from my husband for the past 9 years. Here it is: I hated the custom window treatments in our first home. I hated them from day one. I hated them even more when I re-hemmed them at 3 in the morning the night before our dinner party. I hated that they never pleated right. I still hated them the day we moved out five years later.
I made a gigantic mistake when I picked them out-and since they cost a small fortune, I brought them to our new home. Now they're in the basement. … (6 comments)

home staging main line: Artwork ... Jewelry for Your Walls - 01/15/09 02:32 PM
When I'm brought in to give advice for a house that's going on the market, or for a family doing some decorating, I often get the feeling that something is missing in the room. At first look, everything seems in place. The color palate is tranquil and on trend, the seating arrangement works well with the size and shape of the room -but something just doesn't feel right.
Lack of artwork is typically the culprit.
People seem to have a problem adding artwork to their walls. Is it because they're afraid it can't be removed once it's hung on the wall? Maybe they think it … (0 comments)

home staging main line: Home Staging Helps to Market Home in Havertown Pennsylvania - 10/28/08 05:43 PM
Today our team had the opportunity to stage a wonderful new construction home in Havertown Pennsylvania. The builder did an outstanding job selecting the finishes and materials and the home has every feature a growing family would need. The home builder and Realtor realized however that this home needed to stand out amongst other homes in the same price point and decided to use staging as part of their marketing plan.
Last week we toured the home and today we brought in a few key items to stage the main living areas. The result? The home looks warmer and more inviting. … (11 comments)

home staging main line: Home Staging Transforms Contemporary Home in Villanova Pennsylvania - 10/28/08 04:34 PM
One of my favorite things about being a home staging professional is the dramatic transformation that occurs when a home is staged. Our team recently had the pleasure of getting a large contemporary home in Villanova Pennsylvania ready to sell. It is a spacious home with 8 bedrooms including an inlaw suite, a full finished basement and many rooms for entertaining. We started this project by providing the owner with a consulation for some minor updates that needed to be made and then added the final touches by staging a few key rooms to show buyers how they could enjoy this … (8 comments)
