philadelphia: Split Personalities: A Tale of Two Clients, Two Homes and Two Rooms - 02/16/10 08:08 AM
In addition to providing home staging services for our clients in the Philadelphia region we also design spaces for our clients in their new homes. A recent client however was not selling her home, rather she was moving in with her fiancee and needed some help making his home into their home. I had known this client for years and was really touched when she contacted me to work on this special project. Sure, she could have moved her things in and then figured out what went where, but this busy professional knew that #1 she did not have the time, #2

philadelphia: Staging is Selling Homes in Bryn Mawr PA - 04/04/07 02:45 PM
Since many homes in the Main Line/ Philadelphia area are getting ready for Spring market I wanted to share another HUGE success story for agents to share with their clients about how staging is changing the way homes are marketed in our area. Two weeks ago our team staged a lovely home in Bryn Mawr. It was an impressive home with gorgeous architectural features and in a prime location. The agent called us in however to better showcase the purpose of each space- since it was an older home there was not an apparent family room so we created one in

philadelphia: Home Staging: A Pennsylvania Builder's Best Friend and Marketing Edge - 03/05/07 06:52 PM
What do you get when you combine 1 model home, 1 real estate team, and one staging team? 5 homes sold in under 2 months including the model! Home staging does not only benefit home sellers and Realtors. Home Builders in our area are using staging more and more as a marketing tool to sell their properties. I recently worked with a builder in the suburbs of Philadelphia to stage his model home. He had never used staging before and quite honestly was skeptical if it would be effective. He admitted to me during the estimate that since the market had

philadelphia: Does Staging Really Work?! Part 2 - 02/14/07 11:07 AM
The number one question my clients ask me is "Does staging really work?" The answer is YES! After examining their home from a "buyer's eye view" I can easily tell them what needs to be done to make their home more marketable BUT getting them to commit to doing the work to prepare their home for sale is more of a challenge. Understandably, home sellers do not want to spend $$ on a home they are about to sell, and often do not have the time to get projects done before the home has to go on the market. I have found that the best way that I can convince

philadelphia: Home Staging 101: Go out for the team! - 02/11/07 10:16 AM
Over the Holidays I went through my client roster to get the names of the Realtors we had worked with that year so that I could give them a gift to thank them for their business. What most surprised me was that even though we staged over 300 homes in 2006, only 47 Realtors had hired us! Most of our work had been repeat business. I realized that the secret to success in the staging business is to become part of the team that works together to list and sell a home. The idea of team work in Real Estate is not a
