Today November 15th (should have been yesterday my mother & sister's birthday) I broke 100,000 mark. It's hard to remember my first post - but I do remember I was nervous as heck hitting the submit button. It wasn't until months later that I found out you could do a post in the draft mode. Well it's the beginning of a journey. I've learned a lot and look forward to learning and sharing even more.

With Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point and New River so close to Emerald Isle NC we get VA loans here and there in our area. Assumable loans haven't been as common lately, but in certain circumstances can be very attractive. As rates climb they will become even more attractive. Remember the new buyer will still have to qualify to assume the VA loan. In October Emerald Isle had 8 homes for sale that closed in the subdivisions of Lands End, Emerald Plantation, Jefferson Place, Sound of the Sea (2), Wyndtree and two in unincorporated locations.
