Local Emerald Isle author, Henry Gorham, publishes his first book, SECOTAN: an Alternative Energy Novel. Henry is a native North Carolinian who grew up in Rocky Mount, NC. His mom, Helen, was a school teacher. When school let out for the summer she took Henry and his two brothers to their cottage on the banks of the Pamlico River outside of Belhaven. Their cottage was on a high knoll looking across the river from what is known today as Indian Island.
