Milford CT now has a Downtown Farmers' Market! Established in 2008 with the support of the Downtown Milford Business Association. This farmers market will be THE place to go on a Saturday morning - I'll be there for sure!
Located in beautiful downtown Milford, in the parking lot on the corner of Darina Place and River Street.

According to RISMEDIA "total existing home sales - including single- family, town homes, condominiums and co-ops rose 0.4% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.00 million units in November from an upwardly revised paces of 4.98 million in October, but are 20.0% below the 6.25 million unit level in November 2006. Lawrence Yun, NAR (National Association of Realtors) chief economist, said the market appears to be stabilizing.
"Near term, existing-home sales should continue to hover in a narrow range, just as they have since September, and that's good news because it'll be a further sign that the housing market is stabilizing," … (1 comments)

Northeast Region shows signs of improvement....
According to the National Association of Realtors existing home sales will be headed up in 2008. Pending home sales will show a slight rise in the near term.
According to the article they quoted Lawrence Yun NAR chief economist. " Mr Yun feels that the worst part of the credit crunch has already worked its way through the data. The unusual mortgage disruptions that peaked in August were clearly seen in lower home sales that were finalized in September and October, so the market was under performing" he said. Kudos to the Donnells of 75 Meadows End Road in Milford, CT giving credence to the name "a small city with a big heart!" For the past six years years the Donnells have been decorating their home and are now up to 30,000 lights! This year the couple has created a website ThathouseInMilford where you can find before and after photos of the house and helpful links to help you create your own holiday decorations and a blog site the "Daily Blabber".
