Extreme Makeover Show- I attended a reveal - what a disappointment. - 05/27/09 08:12 AM
Driving north through Wyoming and Montana two summers ago, I passed a sign that advertised that they were going to do a reveal at that location, that very afternoon, for the show Extreme Makeover.   It was around 12:30 and crowds were gathering.  I had many miles ahead of me, but had seen the show and was curious, so I asked at the gate, what time would they be doing the reveal.  The gate guard told me they were getting ready now and it should be in the next half hour or so.
My time was limited, but I … (2 comments)

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

What Mark Twain had to say about investing in Real Estate - Kim Barber, Puerto Penasco/Rocky Point Mexico - 05/12/09 09:21 AM
Mark Twain once said: "Buy land their not making it any more"      Wise and true words (pretty much, in recent years there have been some noteworthy man made islands of fairly considerable size).     However, with the California coastline bought up and prices there very high - even in this down market, investing in Puerrto Penasco is almost like investing in new, or at least newly found, land.     Only a few hours away from California, our water is warmer and cleaner and our streets have less crime, and prices are unbelievable.     Drop me a line and I'll send you some amazing … (0 comments)

The Red Planet is about to be spectacular! This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again. The encounter will culminate on … (0 comments)
