Here's a great little web site I found by mistake. A client had sent me information about a virus warning and mentioned it had been confirmed by Snopes. I decided to investivate this "Snopes" and what a treasure trove of interesting miscelaney. Basically Snopes tackles the urban myth. They confirm or dispel these myths. You can check a virus warning, but beyond that, you'll discover a plethora of tittilating tidbits on a wide variety of subjects. Mostly it's fluff and brain candy, but I just found a great article about the fact that some granite countertops emit radon (0 comments)

How Safe Was Your Childhood? As I was reading this list of playground safety tips from the American Accociation of Pediatrics I had to laugh. I'm sure these are all great tips, but none of these was part of my childhood. How did we ever survive?! The playground should have safety-tested mats or loose-fill materials (shredded rubber, sand, wood chips, or bark) maintained to a depth of at least 9 inches. The protective surface should be installed at least 6 feet (more for swings and slides) in all directions from the equipment. If we were lucky we had sand, usually (0 comments)
