A few weeks back I attended a 2 day Hobbs / Herder seminar in Charlotte, NC and felt that is well worth the price.  I came out of there with several new ideas and a few new friends to boot!  Have any of you ever attended Hoobbs Herder?  If so, was it worth it to you?  If not, why?  If you practice something you picked up there please let me know how it is working out. 
Are there any other real estate seminars etc that you would consider a must have?

I have been extremely pleased with my Blackberry and how it interfaces with Top Producer for real estate purposes.  I find that when I am out showing homes to clients that I can capitalize on the feature that allows me web access to search for homes when not near a wi-fi location to pull out my laptop.  In other words it works in a pinch. 
The Raleigh, NC area has many "dead spots" regarding service.  This can be a bit of a hassle but overall my experience has been great.  I like the fact that I can be in the line … (3 comments)

nc: Having Buyers Sign Agency Contracts - 06/12/07 10:08 PM
Without trying to upset ANYONE I am always surprised when I hear a fellow real estate agent here in North Carolina say something like..."I am not about to put a client in my car unless they sign a contract to hire me as their real estate agent"!  Personally, I have always taken clients out and EARNED their business.  I explain to them that "today is like a date, we need to see if we can dance together.  you do not want to hire if after today you find that you do not like me...and I sure as heck don't want to be attached to … (5 comments)
